Acceptance

AXIS is operated by the person identified in the Privacy Policy, which also explains how to reach them.

By creating an account and using AXIS, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app — and, if you already have an account, you can delete it at any time from Settings.

Your account

• The account is personal and non-transferable. It exists to store your progress; sharing it makes review scheduling meaningless, because it is calculated from what you got right and wrong.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for what happens in your account.
• You must be 13 or older to create an account.
• We may limit the number of devices per account, to curb credential sharing. Any applicable limits are shown in the app.

Free version and subscription

What is free

Without a subscription, module 1 may remain available for study and review, under the current conditions shown in the app.

The subscription

• The subscription unlocks the remaining modules and is billed by Apple, through the App Store, at the price and duration shown on the purchase screen before you confirm.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period, unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance.
• Cancellation is done in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. We cannot cancel for you: the payment relationship is between you and Apple.
• Canceling stops the renewal, but access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
• Refunds are requested from Apple, under Apple’s policy.

Right of withdrawal

Any rights granted by the consumer legislation that applies to you, including any right of withdrawal where applicable, must be exercised through Apple’s channels, as Apple handles billing, subject to applicable law and platform rules.

If the subscription ends

When the subscription ends, access follows the current conditions of the free version. Paid module content stops opening while there is no valid subscription.

How content is unlocked

Content is released at a pace suited to study — there may be a limit on how many new modules open per day. This is intentional and part of the product: the limit is there to protect the rhythm of spaced repetition.

Permitted use, and what is not

You may use AXIS to study, for your personal use. You may not:

• copy, extract, redistribute, resell or publish the content — text, audio, images and badges;
• attempt to bypass the technical protections of the app or the server, including the encryption of downloaded content;
• use automated means to download the collection;
• share credentials, or use the account to give access to third parties;
• use the service for any unlawful purpose.

Breach may lead to suspension or termination of the account.

Intellectual property

The AXIS content — the curation of expressions, translations, explanations, audio, images, brand and visual identity — is protected by copyright and belongs to the operator of the service. A subscription grants a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to use it; it does not transfer ownership of anything.

Limitation of liability

AXIS is provided “as is.” We work to keep the content correct and the service available, but we do not guarantee that it is error-free or uninterrupted — it depends on the internet, on app stores and on third-party services.

To repeat what is at the top of this page: AXIS is language-study material. We are not responsible for clinical, academic or professional decisions made on the basis of it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes the rights that the consumer legislation applicable to you grants you.

Changes to the service and to these Terms

We may change, add or remove features and update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by appropriate means where required by applicable law.

Termination

You may request termination in Settings → Delete my account. We may suspend or terminate the account if these Terms are breached, subject to applicable law.

Governing law and venue

AXIS is developed and operated in Brazil, and these Terms are governed by Brazilian law. The venue is the consumer’s place of residence. This does not deprive you of any rights that the consumer legislation of your country grants you on a mandatory basis.
